ONLINE SITE QUESTIONS:

What is this site? (Back to Top)
This Digital Site is provided by Neurotic Media, a service provider supporting branded download sites and services. We serve online merchants, consumer brands, record companies, studios, and artists, helping them merchandize all things digital within one intuitive site.

What’s the quality of the music files I’m redeeming? (Back to Top)
The tracks available from our site are encoded using the Windows Media Audio format in high-end CD quality sound, normally 160kbps. Sometimes you may run into songs in other formats such as MP3. We strive to ensure consistent high audio quality throughout our catalog..

How many tracks can be downloaded? (Back to Top)
There is no limit to how many tracks you can download. The most important factor is the amount of space on your computer’s hard drive. On average, each track will take about 5MB of disk space, each album around 50MB or 60MB of disk space.

Why do I need to give you a password? (Back to Top)
We need to take a password from you so that we can verify who you are if you need to contact us again for any reason, as well as in order to make it easier and quicker for you to download with us in the future.

Can I burn my downloads to CD? (Back to Top)
Yes, the songs and albums you redeem in our online site can be burned to CD – using players that support secure Windows Media. Consult your player application’s instructions about how to burn music to CD-R. Please remember that in order to burn files to CD-R you must first acquire your license for each file. To do this, stay connected to the Internet while playing each file at least for a few seconds. The process of opening the file calls on the license. Once a file is licensed, you can burn it to CD-R and move it to portable devices that support the WMA file format.

The following generalization applies to most applications:
- First, you must have a CD-R burner connected to your computer
- Insert a blank CD-R disc
- Click on the "Burn" (or “Rip”) button on the Playlist window of your player
- Each player or jukebox application addresses the next step differently, either opening a “burn” list or initiating the burn from the playlist window, etc. Such applications also provide administrative menus where you can specify the quality of sound for your CD by choosing the bit rate quality

*Note: Songs can be burned to CDs, but in many cases, the same Playlist may only be burned up to five (5) times.

Can I copy downloaded files to my portable device? (Back to Top)
Yes, you can copy your redeemed music to your portable device by creating a Playlist of the tracks you would like to send to your portable device. Consult your player application’s instructions for specifics about how to port your music to your portable device. You can review a list of all portable devices supporting secure Windows Media at the following URL: www.playsforsure.com.

Please remember that in order to transfer secure WMA and WMV files to a portable device you must first acquire your license for each file. To do this, stay connected to the Internet while playing each file at least for a few seconds. The process of opening the file calls for the license. Once a file is licensed, you can move it to portable devices that support the Windows Media Audio and Video file format.

Can I play my downloads on more than one computer? (Back to Top)
Yes, our downloads can be played on more than one computer, normally between 3 and 5 different computers (this may vary per album and file). Once you have downloaded the files, you can move them to additional computers using the following steps:

The first thing you must do is copy the files to the new machine. You can do this by burning the tracks to a CD as an encoded Windows Media file (a data file as opposed to a music file). Or, if you are in a network workgroup, you can copy the tracks to the additional computers via your local area network. You can also connect two computers using USB cables, or save the files on a USB drive and copying it over to the new computer.

Once you have transferred the tracks to the additional computers, first login to the Web from the new computer, and login to your site account using your username and password in the fields provided. Another option is to login on the license prompt that opens when you try to play the first file on the new computer.

Now that you are logged into your account, you are ready to play the files on this new computer. You must stay online when first playing them to obtain a license from our system on this computer for each and every transferred file. Once the songs play and the licenses have been obtained, you can use the songs on this computer just as you did on the first computer.

What happens if I lose my digital product? (Back to Top)
We are not responsible for any lost downloads due to computer corruption, misuse or malfunction, or loss of portable devices or CDs. We highly recommend that you maintain current backups of your digital library to ensure that you can recover it in the event that you lose your functional system.

Is downloading from your site the same as pirating? (Back to Top)
No. Redeeming and downloading digital products from our service is legal and safe. You will always get a safe, tested, high-quality service and product, a guarantee you cannot get from peer-to-peer services.

Why can’t I find the music that I want? (Back to Top)
We're constantly adding new artists, albums and songs to our catalog which already offers hundreds of thousands of songs. We are aware that some popular artists are not yet in our system. We are working with record labels and artist management to offer you the broadest and best catalog of digital downloads possible. However, in a number of cases, we are limited by the desires of the artists or their management not to sell their music digitally online. In order to simplify the search and browse experience, we have chosen not to list these artists and their music inside our service. If you search for an artist and do not find any results, it's possible that you typed your search correctly but we don't have any downloads to offer you for that artist at this time. As mentioned, our catalog is growing constantly, and we hope that we will be able to offer you 100% of the music you want in the near future.

Can I listen to Streams? (Back to Top)
Yes, in most cases our sites offer you the ability to listen to thirty second streams for free, so you can browse through the site, preview the streams, and then decide what you want to buy and download. Look for the “Preview” buttons or the little green triangle buttons which mark the clickable streams.

If you are using a non-IE browser such as Firefox, Mozila, and others, in most cases your Windows Media Player will launch in order to play music streams from our service. If you would like to change this and have the WMA streams play inside your browser as they do in Internet Explorer, we recommend the free plug in found at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/219/.
